i was so nervous getting that. it had to be PERFECT and i am so thankful it turned out exactly like the print i brought in. exactly. even the janky banner. loves it.
for those of you that do not know yet, Sidney Josephine passed away Sunday August 31st, 2009. she is still being carried by me until my body decides it's her time to face this cruel world that she left far too soon. i will update again once i have delivered my sweet baby girl.
IT'S A GIRL OMGGGG YOU GUYS
ETA: i TOTALLY knew it! with sorren i really wanted a girl but knew he was a boy. this time part of me still really wanted a girl, but i would honestly be happy with either. from the beginning i thought it was a girl but had that nagging in the back of my mind saying BOY BOY BOY and i let that take over, even though i still had the gut feeling of girl :)

Went to Stayton and had another u/s - bb with a heartbeat of 124bpm! YAY
yeah, so maybe that kahlua kicker at 8:30pm wasn't such a great idea.
eff you, espresso!
eff you, espresso!
who has one so i can stalk you?
pretty awesome!
balloon! aka "bah-ooooo(n)" sometimes he throws the 'n' in, sometimes he doesn't. pretty much since his first birthday he's had at least 1-2 balloons in the house at any given time. he's constantly waking around with a deflated balloon trailing behind him.
when we got in the car yesterday he spied his little blue balloon on the floor and proclaimed "bah-ooon! baoon! bah-oooooo!" and didn't stop saying it the rest of the day. so cute!
apparently he tried to say bird "burrr" when he was outside with kris and saw a flock of geese in the air.

we have a freaking GARDEN with blueberry and RASPBERRY bushes. and a hugehugehuge beautiful tree that would be perfect for a tire swing.
and hardwood floors! and an amazing range, probably from the 80's, but so awesome.
and a GARDEN. with squash and tomatoes already planted. first thing we'll do is plant some lettuce.
HUGE windows in the front and back. a nice fireplace that was recently cleaned.
oh.my.god.you.guys.

wtf is my default icon? it's supposed to be that cheesy black and white photo of my face from, like, four years ago. where the hell did it go and how did this one replace it? what is it, anyway?
livejournal, you're such a whore.

while i am ecstatic about our new president, i just have one thing to say:
FUCK YOU CALIFORNIA. I AM SO GLAD I GOT OUT OF THAT SHIT HOLE AND CAME TO CRUNCHY, GREEN OREGON.
FUCK YOU CALIFORNIA. I AM SO GLAD I GOT OUT OF THAT SHIT HOLE AND CAME TO CRUNCHY, GREEN OREGON.
and it's not even over...
this morning sorren decided to bite me for the first time with teeth. i told him "No biting!" and he FREAKED OUT. i definitely didn't yell, but i did say it louder than my normal talking voice, which is pretty low to begin with. after i said it he looked at me and was like, "buh? weerrrder?" and his eyes got all big.
i repeated "No biting" but not as loud and he lost it. he started hysterically crying and laid his head on my chest and was patting me. i felt like a total jerk and was in tears myself. i put him on the floor to play for a little bit. about 10 minutes later i picked him up to nurse him again because it was his usual nap/nurse time. he instantly bit me, so we went through the same thing again.
fast forward to about an hour later when kris got home for lunch. same. freaking. thing. so i said forget it and just let him play. he was all pissed off because he was tired and hungry. we left about a half hour later to drop kris off at work and he fell asleep on the way. when we got back home he was half-awake and i nursed him to sleep successfully and he's been fine ever since. i felt horrible that i made him cry, and i still do.
this afternoon i took him to the park so he could run around for a little bit. he ran over to the swing, grabbed it, and started jumping up and down. he was laughing the whole time he was swinging, it was so cute. after that i let him walk around the park. he kept stopping to pick up acorns and leaves. he's such a big boy now. i love and hate it all at the same time. after walking around the park he made a beeline back to the swing so i pushed him some more in it then we went home where he promptly passed out in his beanbag and he's still sound asleep.
i've been in such a funk all day. i think it's mostly because of the biting incident, but i woke up feeling slightly ill. i have been drinking echinacea tea all day and i think it's helping.
i made some yellow split pea and pumpkin soup for dinner. sorren had some but did not approve.
tomorrow i'm doing trial run #2 of my cupcakes. last time it was basic chocolate with vanilla butter cream frosting. cupcakes are a win, but not so much the frosting. a couple days ago i re-did them and the frosting was aces this time. i did strawberry frosting though, but it's basically the same thing. tomorrows batch are lemon poppyseed with lemon frosting. too bad i can't have any! kris will have to be my taste-tester. next week it's pumpkin with cream cheese frosting. i can't wait for those. mmm!

there's nothing more satisfying than putting cloth diapers together while sipping hot jasmine tea with a sprig of rosemary and a squirt of agave nectar while the beeb is blabbering away at his new knitted caterpillar.
